MBA 586: Legal, Regulatory, and Ethical Issues in Life Sciences Industry
This class focuses on the legal and regulatory processes in the U.S. legal and political systems, along with the how the U.S. FDA and related administrative agencies govern research, development, and marketing and advertising of biotech medical and health products. During the course, I wrote a research paper on the legal, regulatory, and ethical landscape of animal research. The aim was to summarize the history of regulatory animal research and the current state of law, discern gaps in legislation protecting animals used for research purposes, discuss the ethical considerations, and identify future improvements.
MBA 585: Current Topics in Biosciences Management
This class develops major themes and emerging strategies in the pharmaceutical industry. The focus is on strategic planning, process improvement, outsourcing, globalization, federal regulation, global distribution, and deployment challenges for executives in the pharmaceutical industry. My team worked on a semester long project in order to determine new trends in nutraceuticals. Our project culminated in a final presentation and written report.
